A glass marble is rubbed against a piece of silk. As a result the piece of fabric acquires extra electrons. What happens to the glass marble?

    This is an electrostatic attraction. Since the fabric silk has acquired negative charges (electrons), the marble would have lost the same number of electrons to become positively charged.

    Hence, there will be electrostatic force of attraction.
