The two conclusions that Mendal made about his research on genetics depended on the law of segregation and law of independent assortment.

Explanation:

The "law of segregation" says that, pairing of genes (alleles) take place in each parent. During split up, one gene is only passed from each parent to the offspring. But which particular gene is passed is is not know and is completely up to chance.

The "law of independent assortment" states, from all pairs of gene each offspring receives different pair of gene independently. Thus, when a gene is inheritant at one location in a genome it is not necessary that it should influence the inheritance of a gene in another location.
