How did the experiement with the iron filings and sulfur compare with the experiment in which copper sulfate pentahydrate was heated?

Both resulted in gas formation.

    Both resulted in color change.

    One involved chemical change while the other involved physical change.

    The iron filings and sulfur reacts and the results in formation of ferrous sulphate. This is a chemical reaction.

    The copper sulfate pentahydrate when heated it turns into a dehydrated form. This a physical reaction.
