    Density of Ethanol = 0.78 g / mL

    Density of Benzene = 8.8 g / mL

    Benzene is more dense than Ethanol.

    Explanation: Density is the ratio of mass per unit volume. So the density of ethanol is,

    D = m / V

    = 3.9 g / 5 mL

    = 0.8 g / mL

    Density for benzene

    D = m / V

    = 44 g / 5 mL

    = 8.8 g / mL
