If the concentration of glucose is increased from 0.1 M to 2.0 M, will the conductance change? Why?

    Explanation:

    Conduction is defined as the transfer of energy in the form of heat or electric charge through any given substance. Electric charge is the movement of electrons from high potential to lower potential. Hence, we can say that electrons can travel through either a metallic substance (having sea of free electrons) or Ionic compounds (having + ve and - ve ions).

    In given statement, Sugar (Glucose; C₆H₁₂O₆) is a covalent compound. It neither has free electrons in it structure nor it is an ionic compound to produce ions. Hence, due to absence of both it will not conduct electricity in solution form either its concentration is kept high or kept low.
