Gold is called the king of metals since it does not corrode easily because of it's poor conductivity. Also it has a great lustre of it's own, which makes it look great. This is why Gold has a high Market Value anywhere in the world.

True.
Explanation:
When we speak of gold, we refer to the element designated as the king of metals. It has been known for more than 6000 thousand years and was the main currency in several civilizations. The gold acronym, Au, comes from the Latin aurum, which means a shining aurora.
Gold is valuable because it has an interesting ability to resist corrosion (oxidation). Besides being attacked neither by an acid nor by a salt. In addition, it has a high commercial value.
Gold is a metal with many important and interesting characteristics. Are they:
Solid at room temperature; It is the most noble of all metals; Inert in terrestrial conditions; It is quite dense (d = 19.3 g. cm-3); It is quite rare; It is not attacked by strong oxidizing agents, such as concentrated nitric acid. Reacts with a mixture of concentrated nitric and hydrochloric acid; Hardness: 2.5 mohs (this quantity assesses the hardness of the material, which is the ability to scratch. Thus, silver, for example, is harder than gold (silver or glass streak gold); It is an extremely malleable metal (if hit with a hammer, it will dent, and not break); Its luster is less intense than that of silver; It is the most ductile metal in existence; It is a good conductor of heat and electricity; It is not affected by air.
