Scientific method basically minimizes the bias and prejudice in the experimenter. It provides an standardized approach for an experiment. It is a logical approach to seek knowledge that involves forming and testing a hypothesis. There is not a single way to list the steps in scientific method, but the ultimate goal is to gather data that will check the validity of an experiment.
