How can the loss of one species potentially destroy a habitat?

    The prey of that species (lets call it an owl) would reproduce more because the number of animals hunting it decreased leading in overpopulation of owls.

    If there were no more flies, frogs wouldn't get food at all and if one species is gone then all would be impacted
