The pressure and temperature inside a bike tire is 10 atm and 10 K

respectively. What will the pressure become in the tire when the temperature is increased 20 K?

    Explanation:

    Gay-Lussac's Law states that pressure of a given amount of gas held at constant volume is directly proportional to the Kelvin temperature.

    P1 / T1 = P2 / T2

    Plug the information given in and you get

    (10atm) (10 K) = (P2) (20K)

    Divide both sides by 20 K and you get the unknown pressure which is 5 atm.
