    You see, each capital letter whether or not they have a lower case letter next to it represents a element. there are a total of 3 elements there, Hydrogen, Sulfur, and oxygen. You see, there is a 2 next to the hydrogen "H" meaning that there are two hydrogen atoms there, and there is nothing next to S, meaning it is only one sulfur atom, and 4 next to oxygen, meaning that their are four oxygen atoms in the compound. there are at first 6 total atoms, but there is a four at the beginning, meaning that compound is four times over. so 6 times 4 = 24.
