A rock is a naturally occurring aggregate of minerals or mineraloids. That means that if a bunch of minerals of mineraloids naturally got together and aggregated themselves, it's a rock.
A mineral is a naturally occuring solid which has a crystal structure and is inorganic. A mineraloid is a substance which has some characteristics in common with minerals, but not all.
