    P (total) = 978 mmHg

    Explanation:

    Given dа ta:

Total pressure of gas = ?

Partial pressure of O₂ gas = 200 mmHg

Partial pressure of N₂ gas = 350 mmHg

Partial pressure of He gas = 428 mmHg

    Solution:

According to Dalton law of partial pressure,

The total pressure inside container is equal to the sum of partial pressures of individual gases present in container.

    Mathematical expression:

    P (total) = P₁ + P₂ + P₃ + ... + Pₙ

    P (total) = P (O₂) + P (N₂) + P (He)

    P (total) = 200 mmHg + 350 mmHg + 428 mmHg

    P (total) = 978 mmHg
