Step 1 Using the Molarity formula and rearranging to solve for moles of solute:

    Mol of Solute = Molarity x L of Solution = 2.5 M x. 750L = 1.88 mol HNO3

Step 2 Using the moles found in step 1 and the molar mass of HNO3 find the number of grams:

    Molar Mass HNO3 = 1.008 + 14.01 + 3 (16) = 63.01g

    1.88 mol HNO3 (63.01g HNO3 / 1 mol HNO3) = 118g HNO3
