suppose you mix several liquids in a jar. After a few minutes, the liquids form layers. Is this a homogeneous mixture or a heterogeneous mixture? Why?

    Heterogenous mixture because the liquids that were put into the jar do not mix well together and have different densities.

    In a homogenous mixture the liquids would mix together and it would look like one.

    It will form a heterogeneous mixture because the composition is not uniform throughout.
