A gas occupies a volume of 458 mL at a pressure of 1.0 1K PA and temperature of 295K. when the pressure is changed the volume becomes 500 mL. if there has been no change in temperature what is the new pressure?

    Answer;

    = 925.16 Pascals

    Explanation;

    Using the formula;

    PV/T = PV/T

    The temperature is the same so ignore the T.

    P1V1 = P2V2

    .458L * 1.01kPa =.5 L * P2

    P2 =.458 x 1.01/.5

    = 0.92516 k Pa

    = 925.16 Pascals
