The product that you obtain if you evaporate the water from the NaoH layer prior to acidifying the layer is salt of para - tery-butyphenol

    Explanation

Para-tery-butyphenol can be isolate after extracting it into NaOH solution through carrying out heating and then cooling, then 3M of HCl is added to acidify. Then ice bath is done if needed finally the precipitate is filtered. Para tery butyphenol can be used for production of alkylphenolic.

If water is evaported the effects to acidifying layers

NaOH and p-t-butyl phenol form in the form of solid. The main objective is to get parts of mixture as p-toluic acid, p-t-butylphenol, and acetanilide. The first thing that we obtained was p-toluic acid and we accomplished this by first scoring approximately 1.5 grams of resulted fluid to 25 milliliters of t-butyl methyl ether.

When this solution is dissolved it was combined with a 125-milliliter separatory tube. Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) was summed to the separatory funnel and it was changed and moved. Such a process was redone till no carbon dioxide fled the tube when the stopcock was removed.
