    The moles of gas produced is 0.0742 moles

    calculation

    The moles of a gas is calculated using ideal gas equation

    that is Pv=nRT

    where, P (pressure) = 747 torr

    V (volume) = 2L

    n (number of moles) = ?

    R (gas constant) = 62.364 L. torr/mol. K

    T (temperature) = 50°C into kelvin = 50 + 273 = 323K

    make n the subject of the formula by dividing both side of equation by RT

    n = PV/RT

    n=[ (747 torr x 2L) / (62.364 L. torr/Mol. K x 323 K) ] = 0.0742 moles
