They are expected to short out of supply because of the fact that with the increasing population worldwide the demand for the resources will also increase. As a result of this the population may face scarcity of resources in future. Such resources cannot be expected to be used sustainably as they get completely used up in a single use. For example fossil fuels like coal, petroleum and natural gas.
