How many grams of NaCl would you mix into 1 L of water to make a 5 M solution?

    5 grams.

    1 litre is one cubic decimeter and concentration is calculated (con. = grams over volume) using this formula. Thus 5g : 1dm3 = 5M or 5 g/dm3
