Water does not have particular density because density of water changes with temperature. Density decreases with increase in temperature. Density can be defined as mass per unit of volume. The formula used to determine the density of an object is ρ = m/V, ρ = density, m = mass, and V = volume. Density of water is 1 g/ml at 0°C and density of water 0.997 g/ml at 25°C.

At 25°C, mass of water 1 ml is 0.997 g, So, mass of 970 ml is 967.09 g.
