    The number of Ml of 0.80 M sucrose solution that contain

    (A) 7.45 g are 27.25 Ml

    calculation

    volume = moles / molarity

    molarity = 0.80 M which is the same as 0.80 mol/l

    moles = mass/molar mass

    = 7.45 g / 342.3 g/mol = 0.0218 moles

    volume is therefore = 0.0218 moles / 0.80 mol/L=0.02725 L

    convert into ml by multiplying by 1000

    = 27.25 ml

    question b

    volume = moles/molarity

    molarity = 0.80 M = 0.80 Mol/L

    moles = mass/molar mass

    mass 17.0 mg convert into g by diving by 1000=0.017 g

    moles is therefore = 0.017 g / 342.3 g/mol = 4.97 x10^-5 moles

    volume = (4.97 x 10^-5 moles) / 0.8 mol / l=6.21 x10^-5 L

    = 6.21 x10^-5 x 1000 = 0.0621 Ml
