Atoms of which elements form bonds without satisfying the octet rule?

potassium (K) and sodium (Na)

neon (Ne) and argon (Ar)

nitrogen (N) and fluorine (F)

helium (He) and hydrogen (H)

    Answer: both H and He

    Explanation:

    By octet configuration, each element gets Electrons equal to inert gas atomic number in their outer shell by gaining or donating electrons.

    Here K and Na gets inert gas configuration by the loss of one electron.

    And N and F gets inert gas configuration by gaining electrons 3&1 respectively.

    So remaining are H and He they won't get octet configuration since hydrogen has 1 electron in outer shell and gains one electron from withwhich combines and He has already 2 electrons in outer shell. it won't form any compounds.
