The transformation of rhombic sulfur to plastic sulfur is not as simple as that. In the process, black plastic sulfur is not the final form of molten sulfur! ... Sulfur melts at 113-119oC. The melt is very fluid and consists of the exact same molecules as the above-mentioned solid forms.
