What is produced from cellular respiration?

    During cellular respiration, glucose is broken down in the presence of oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water. Energy released during the reaction is captured by the energy-carrying molecule ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

    In Cellular Respiration, glucose and oxygen are reactants of this process. However, the main result of cellular respiration is a product known as ATP (a high energy molecule found in every cell). Carbon dioxide and water are also waste products.
