Why do scientists store data from their experiments in computers, rather than writing it down in notebooks?

Computers are the electronic devices which have huge memory. Thus a large scientific data can be stored. The information and data can be observed and analysed any time. The data in the handwritten form in the notebook is subjected to be damaged, lost and stolen. The computer stored data can remain safe by using passwords.
