The natural sources of carbon include fossil fuels, respiration and rocks
Fossil fuels are energy rich compounds derived from organic matter that has been preserved. The process of respiration releases carbon in form of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere as a by product. Some rocks are predominantly made up of carbon for example diamond and graphite.
