    Balanced chemical reaction: 2VCl₂ + 3Cl₂ → 2VCl₅.

    According to principle of mass conservation, number of atoms must be equal on both side of chemical reaction.

    There are ten chlorine atoms and two vanadium atoms on both side of balanced chemical reaction.
