How does each of the following affect the solubility of an ionic compound: (c) enthalpies of hydration of cation and anion. They're saying the answer is "solubility increases with enthalpy of hydration of the cation and anion"

That does not make a single bit of sense to me I feel like they left out a word.

    I think your resources are quite confused because t he more exothermic an enthalpy of hydration is should decrease the potential energy increasing the solubility.
