How is an ionic formed between two atoms

    An ionic bond is formed when the two atoms, metal and nonmetal, share the elections in the outermost orbital. Basically the metals gives up its outermost electron to the nonmetal to make the nonmetal have a full outer shell or, in other words, to make it happy
