Why the mass of a rusted nail is greater than the mass of a nail before it rusted? Explain

    Because the rusty nail had the combined mass of the original nail along with oxidized substances. since your adding something that exists to the mass your mass will be greater.

    As the metal rusts it expands increasing its mass therefore increasing the weight.
