Feedstock are raw materials that are fed into a process for conversion into different products.
Hydrocarbon based substances that are used as feed stock in industry include butadiene, benzene, toluene, xylene and naphthalene.
Ethane, propane, butane, naphthas, kerosene and heavy atmospheric and vacuum oils are hydrocarbon feeds employed in cracking furnaces for the production of ethylene, propylene and other cracked gas products in the presence of steam.
Natural gas and oil are feed stock in the production of ammonia, used to make fertilizer ... Natural gas is the preferred feed stock for ammonia production because it is intrinsically the most hydrogen rich raw material.
