What is the benefit of cooking food to break down dietary fiber? (culinary)

It enhances appearance.

It enhances taste.

    When you cook food it increases the digestibility because you are killing bacteria they may be on the cooked food. Cooking has the option to enhance the appearance of food in some cases but not all.

    Answer should be that it "Improves digestibility."

    If there are multiple answers then it can enhance the appearance, improve digestibility, and enhance the taste.
