What are two ways in which mixtures differ from compounds

    A mixture contains multiple elements or compounds that are mixed together but not chemically bonded. The components can be separated by physical means. They are mixed in random ratios.

    But, when two elements combine chemically, a compound is formed. they can only be separated by chemical means. The ratio of elements in it is always fixed.
