    I think the correct answer is D. The Maunder minimum is related to climate because it correlates to unusually cold climatic events. This is an event that happened sterting in 1645 to 1715 where very few sunspots were observed. It is also known as prolonged sunspot minimum. During this event, Europe and North America experienced colder temperature than what was usual.
