Answer is: mass of water needed for preparation of copper (II) sulfate solution is 225 grams.

    mr (CuSO ₄) = 250.0 g.

    ω (CuSO₄) = 10.0% : 100% = 0.1.

    m (CuSO₄) = mr (CuSO₄) · ω (CuSO₄).

    m (CuSO₄) = 250 g · 0.1.

    m (CuSO₄) = 25 g.

    m (H₂O) = mr (CuSO₄) - m (CuSO₄).

    m (H₂O) = 250 g - 25 g.

    m (H₂O) = 225 g.
