    Molar mass = 32 + 16 * 2

    Molar mass = 64 g/mol

    Moles present = mass / Mr

    Moles present = 0.6/64

    Moles present = 0.009375

    Next, the heat released per mole is given to us as being - 198 kJ/mol

    We multiply the number of moles by this to get:

    198 * 0.009375 = 1.85625 kJ

    1,856 Joules of energy will be released.
