Causes rocks to change composite when reacting with oxygen

    The steel in nail contains iron. Oxygen and water react with the iron to form rust. (oxidation i believe. i may be wrong)

    Minerals in rocks undergo chemical changes when they react with water and air. is the breakdown of rocks by chemical reactions that change the rocks' makeup, or composition.
