The conversion factor between g/ml and kg/m^3 is 1 g/mL = 1000 kg/m3. Therefore we can multiply 0.789 by 1000 and arrive at the density of ethanol being 789kg/m^3.

Density of a substance is its mass per unit volume. It is calculated by dividing mass by volume. The SI unit of kilogram per cubic meter (kg/m³), however it might be given in other measurements such as g/cm³.

    1 g/ml or 1 g. cm³ = 1000 kg/m³ (cubic centimeter can be alternately called a milliliter)

    Therefore, 0.789 g/ml will be equivalent to 0.789 * 1000 = 789 kg/m³
