    The correct option is "e", which is 3.

    The equation of HCl with water is;

    HCl + H₂O → H₃O⁺ + OH⁻

    So, 1 mole of HCl produces 1 mole of H₃O⁺ ions and 1 mole of OH⁻ ions.

    now a solution contains 1.5 moles of HCl, so 1.5 moles of HCl produces 1.5 mole of mole of H₃O⁺ ions and 1.5 mole of OH⁻ ions

    Total number of ions = 1.5 moles + 1.5 moles = 3 moles of ions
