Solid sodium chloride does not conduct electricity, yet when it is dissolved in distilled water the solution is an excellent conductor. what is the best explanation for this change?

    When NaCl dissolved in water, the ions that were in the solid NaCl separated and are able to move in the water. So we get charged particles that are able to move, and solution will conduct electricity.
