Chlorine gas reacts together with nitrogen monoxide gas according to the following equation in chemistry which is 2NO (g) + Cl2 (g) à 2NOCl (g). Chlorine gas is used as a disinfectant. It is also used to keep the swimming pool away from bacteria because chlorine gas kills bacteria.
