There are many ways in which weather affects rocks. The process is called weathering.
We have physical weathering and biogeochemical weathering.
Physical wethering may be due to:
-abrasion (friction between rocks when they are moved by wind).
-temperature (t hermal stress weathering), due to shifts of temperature, rocks may crack
-frost weathering (water enters cracks in rocks, and freezes)
Biogeochemical waethering
-some rocks dissolute gradualy as they are affected by rains
-some rocks react with water and carbondioxcide (carbonation)
