Write a conversion factor that could be used to convert between moles of chlorine and moles of potassium chloride.

    First, we write the equation of formation of potassium chloride from chlorine:

    2K + Cl₂ → 2KCl

    Each mole of Cl₂ produces two moles of KCl

    Therefore, the conversion factor is:

    Moles of chlorine = 2 x moles of potassium chloride
