Mention the different ways that water vapour reaches the atmosphere

Heat from the sun heats up water on the surface of lakes and oceans as well as marshes. This causes the water to evaporate and rise into the atmosphere.

Plants through a process called transpiration also release water vapor into the atmosphere. After absorbing water from the ground, plants will "sweat" this water in form of vapor out through their leaves to stay cool.

Water can also get into the atmosphere as vapor directly from snow and ice. Sometimes frozen water does not melt but through a process called sublimation, it changes directly to vapor and rises into the atmosphere.
