    sand = SiO2 (60.08 g/mol)

    chalk = CaCO3 (100.0869 g/mol)

    sugar = C12H22O11 (342.2965 g/mol)

    The commonly used conversion would be that 1 teaspoon is equal to approximately 5 grams. We calculate as follows:

    sand = 5 / (60.08 g/mol) = 0.08 mol

    chalk = 5 / (100.0869 g/mol) = 0.05 mol
