    Ph = 14 - POH = 14 - ( - log 4.3 * 10 - 4)

    Ph = 14 - 3.37 = 10.63

    10.63 is the answer

    The hydroxide ion concentration = 4.3 X 10^-4 M

    so we will calculate pOH first

    pOH = - log[OH-] = - log (4.3 X 10^-4) = 3.37

    we know that

    pH + pOH = 14

    so pH = 14-3.37 = 10.63
