Looking at the same nonmetal group on the periodic table, how does the reactivity of an element in period 2 compare to the reactivity of an element in period 4?

    For metals reactivity increases down the group however for nonmetals reactivity decreases down a group due to increasing size and the shielding effect of the electron orbitals. So period 2 will be more reactive than period 4
