The three types of convergent plate boundaries are the typical kind of oceanic under continental plate, with subduction of the oceanic under the continental plate such as off Peru and British Columbia, Canada, and secondly oceanic to oceanic where one oceanic plate subducts below another one and forms trenches and the Mariannas Trench (11,000metres deep) is an example of this. Lastly, there is continental to continental convergence of which the prime product is the development of the Himalayas.
