In the manufacture of ammonia, nitrogen, and hydrogen gases react over an iron/potassium oxide catalyst to give ammonia. hydrogen is the expensive reagent as nitrogen can be obtained from the air. if ammonia is obtained in 90% yield based on hydrogen, how many tons of hydrogen are necessary to produce 100 Mg of ammonia?
