It is composed of Native Americans, Hispanics, and Anglos. There is a high number of Native Americans that live in Arizona and New Mexico. The Hispanic population is significant in Flagstaff, Yuma, Mesa, Glendale, St. George, Las Cruces, Santa Fe, and Pueblo. The area had first been that of the Native Americans, and it was close to Mexico, making it easy for Hispanic integration. The Europeans later took this area over.
